Gamescom Best of Show Nominees Revealed

August 7, 2014 - GamePolitics Staff

The show hasn't even started yet but Gamescom organizers have already announced the nominees for the 2014 Best Of Show awards. How, you may ask, can nominees already be selected when the games haven't been seen and the show has not opened yet? Well, because they have been seen by a jury of journalists.

An "expert jury" selected Gamescom 2014 award finalists for 13 categories (listed below, along with the nominees), with the winners to be announced on August 15 on the Let's Play Meets Gamescom podium. Evolve is leading the pack in nominations in six different categories, with The Evil Within nipping at its heels.

You can check out the full list of jury members below, as well as this year's nominees. The Gamescom event takes place August 14-17 in Cologne, Germany.
