'Ascend: Hand of Kul' Pulled From Xbox Marketplace

August 21, 2014 - GamePolitics Staff

Free-to-play Xbox 360 online game Ascend: Hand of Kul has been removed from the Xbox Marketplace by Microsoft, according to developer Signal Studios. Signal Studios said in a post on the company's web site that Microsoft removed the game over the weekend. Why it was taken offline is unknown as of this writing.

"We are deeply saddened by this decision and the impact it has on our community," the company wrote on its web site. "While Microsoft discontinued support for the Xbox 360 version of Ascend, Signal has released a free BETA version of the game on Steam with a wealth of gameplay improvements where the community can still enjoy slaying trolls and converting altars."

The company is offering 25K in in-game currency that can be used to "purchase gear, spells and buffs," if players are interested in playing it on the PC.

You can find the PC version on Steam.
