November 13, 2012 -

In Episode 28 of the Super Podcast Action Committee hosts Andrew Eisen and E. Zachary Knight discuss the importance of voting, Microsoft's bad Xbox 360 press event in Israel, and a dumb patent designed to count how many people are watching licensed content from a console (so they can charge more money, we assume). Poll: Is Deciding Not To Vote Justifiable?

November 7, 2012 -

In the weeks leading up to the general election, it's nigh impossible to avoid getting bombarded with phone calls, flyers and PSAs from overzealous but civic-minded individuals espousing the importance of pausing Halo 4 for a few minutes to go down to the polls and cast your vote.

Well, some people decided not to vote.  And I'm not talking kids or non-U.S. citizens, I mean people who could vote but chose not to.  How do you like them apples?

Accused of Playing WoW, Colleen Lachowicz Wins Senate Seat Anyway

November 7, 2012 -

Despite being an avid World of Warcraft player and someone who likes to use slightly colorful language to talk about it on her blog, Colleen Lachowicz (D-ME) still handily trounced Republican Sen. Thomas Martin, earning her a shiny new Senate seat.

Last month, the Maine GOP ran a pretty silly smear campaign to an attempt to convince voters that Lachowicz's gaming habits and blog comments rendered her unfit for office.

Fox News: Halo 4 May Keep Voters at Home

November 6, 2012 -

Election Day is finally upon us and you know what that means!

Yep, Halo 4 is now available at retail!  Of course, as a Nintendo fanboy, I don’t give a toss but some people are excited.  So excited in fact that Fox News suggests some may forego the polls and instead elect to stay home and play Master Chief’s latest adventure.

The evidence?  Halo 4 came out today.

Yeah, that’s it.

It won’t stop.  They won’t leave me alone.  Why won’t you leave me alone?  I just want you to leave me alone!  ARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Ahem…

Maine GOP Attacks State Senate Candidate for Playing World of Warcraft

October 4, 2012 -

In one of the more unusual attacks on an opponent in this election cycle, the Republican party of Maine has decided that it would be a good idea to take Maine state Senate Democratic candidate Colleen Lachowicz to task for playing World of Warcraft. Apparently they don't know that over 10 million people around the world are playing the game daily, with millions playing here in the United States. The law of averages would also suggest that a fair amount of Maine's population also plays the game, but let's put that aside for now..
