'Pac-Man' creator to be honored with 'Legend Award' at Gamelab

Organizers of Gamelab, the "games and interactive entertainment conference" taking place in Barcelona, Spain June 24th-26th announced today that they will honor Pac-Man creator Toru Iwatani with a Legend Award. Sony skipping Gamescom

The twenty indie games chosen as finalists for the first annual MomoCon Indie Game Awards have been announced. The awards are part of MomoCon 2015, which takes place Thursday - Sunday, May 28 - 31, 2015 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. BlizzCon 2015 Taking Place Nov. 6 - 7

Valve: No Steam Dev Days This Year

Valve Software says it won't be hosting a Steam Dev Days event like it did last year. Speaking to Gamasutra, the company said that the event is meant to highlight important things the company is working on. Valve's Chet Faliszek To Host Developer Sessions at EGX Rezzed 2015

Valve Software's Chet Faliszek will host a developer session at EGX Rezzed 2015. EGX Rezzed is a consumer friendly event dedicated to PC, indie and console gaming taking place March 12-14, 2015 at Tobacco Dock, London.

Faliszek is best known for his writing on Half-Life, Portal, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Left 4 Dead. more details about the developer session are to be announced in January.

QuakeCon 2015 Set for July of Next Year

id Software and Bethesda Softworks announced today that QuakeCon 2015 is tentatively scheduled to take place July 23 - 26, 2015. Next year's event will mark the 20th anniversary of the event. QuakeCon 2015 will be at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas.

Professional eSports league ESL announced that it will host the BlizzCon 2014’s World Championship Opening Weekend at its studios in Burbank, California. 'GX3: Everyone Games' Gets Fully Funded

With a little under 60 hours to go, the Kickstarter campaign for "GX3: Everyone Games" has managed to surpass its funding goal of $80,000. As of this writing, the LGBTQ gaming event has managed to raise $82,971 from 814 backers.
