Chinese newspaper Xinhuanet is reporting that this year's China Joy 2015 event, an annual gathering to celebrate and promote interactive entertainment in the region, has "banned" scantily-clad models. According to the report this is to keep things "appropriate." Most companies seem to have had little problem in adhering to the new standards set by organizers. One game fan who spoke to the publication said that most people in attendance seemed to enjoy the change.

Retailer GameStop announced that it will be bringing back its fan event - the GameStop Expo - in September. For right around $40, attendees can get hands-on access to upcoming titles from the likes of Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Activision Blizzard, Warner Bros., Take-Two, and many other companies.
