Report: Xbox One version of 'The Witcher 3' suffering from nasty save game bug

The device from the company best known for its game-related streaming and video capture devices supports over-the-air TV on Xbox One, allowing you to access local broadcast networks available in your area via an HD antenna device. The device also supports Sling TV, HBO GO, Netflix, Comedy Central, and Hulu Plus - as well as cable TV and satellite TV integration.

BioWare Veteran joins Microsoft to work on HoloLens

Microsoft will host its E3 Expo press conference on, June 15 starting at 9:30am PT (12.30pm ET, 5.30pm GMT). The news comes from various outlets who received press invites this morning - including IGN. The details on what Microsoft plans to show during its press conference are being kept under wraps for now, but Microsoft's Phil Spencer teased that the company will debut a "new exclusive IP" at E3 2015.

Waupaca, Wisconsin teen gets caught swatting, loses Xbox

A 17-year-old Waupaca, Wisconsin teen had his "Xbox" confiscated by Waupaca County after they determined that he had attempted to "swat" a rival player. According to WeAreGreenBay.com, the teen allegedly called the Waupaca County 911 Communications Center on Sunday afternoon claiming that a woman had been shot in the leg in an apartment on Eight Street (in Waupaca) and the shooter was still in the house. The caller claimed they were making the call while hiding in a closet.

Police responded to the scene and learned quickly that the call was a hoax.

PSA: Xbox Live Gold for free this weekend

Former Lionhead boss takes control of Xbox and HoloLens games

Former Lionhead Studios head John Needham has been promoted to a new position within Microsoft that will oversee internal development for several (but not all) games on Xbox platforms and the company's augmented reality technology HoloLens. A Microsoft spokesperson tells Engadget that he will report to Microsoft corporate VP Kudo Tsunoda. He will not be in charge of some of Microsoft's biggest franchises, though.

It's official: Phil Harrison is no longer with Microsoft

In March rumors circulated that Corporate Vice President in Xbox in Europe Phil Harrison had left Microsoft. Today Head of Xbox Phil Spencer confirmed with GamesIndustry.biz in a statement that Harrison was no longer with Microsoft.

"Following a successful tenure as Corporate Vice President in Xbox in Europe, Phil Harrison has chosen to pursue business interests outside of Microsoft," Spencer's statement reads.

Future Xbox 360 firmware update will add support for 2TB USB storage devices

According to this Eurogamer report, Microsoft is working on a future firmware update that will add support for external USB drives up to 2TB. Currently the Xbox 360 only supports USB drives up to 32GB. The upcoming update also removes the systems method for reserving hard drive space in advance; a method used to maximize the amount of free room on your drive.

Xbox Live Gold Subscription Will Not Be Required For Multiplayer on Windows 10

An Xbox Live Gold subscription will not be needed to play multiplayer on Windows 10 when it is released, despite it supporting cross play on some games (Xbox One and Windows 10) and the integration of the Xbox Live system into the operating system.

This is according to what Microsoft's Larry Hryb said recently on Twitter. The integration into Windows 10 will "provide access to the vast majority of Xbox Live services currently available on Xbox One," including instant messaging and friends chat.

The first major update of 2015 for Xbox One went live this morning, adding a number of tweaks, adjustments and new features to Microsoft's next-gen home console.

The new update introduces Game Hubs (which let Xbox One users keep track of statistics related to specific titles) improved sync and disconnect times for Xbox One controllers (the time has been reduced to around two seconds), improvements to the Live TV OneGuide (it now tracks trending shows on Xbox and Twitter - US-only), improvements to party chat, and more transparent dashboard tiles.
